Helping stressed amphibians
is my mission

About me

I am a biologist interested in (amphibian) ecophysiology, endocrinology, disease ecology and conservation. In particular, I investigate how global change might affect amphibian development, physiology, and susceptibility to diseases. I am especially interested in endocrine disruptive effects of environmental stressors such as temperature variation, desiccation risk, and pollution. Thus, helping stressed tadpoles and frogs is my mission.

In addition to my reasearch, I am passionate about teaching students about evolution, functional ecology, and taxonomy at university. Proper academic education and supervision of students play an important role in my occupational self-concept.
